LifeLinc is proud to call Memphis, Tennessee home and supports our community in a number of ways. Our leadership team serves as board members for local organizations including the Memphis YWCA, Junior League of Memphis, NAHSE Memphis, among others. Our purpose-driven leaders and employees are actively making an impact on our community daily. Below are some examples of our involvement:
LifeLinc regularly partners with the Memphis chapter of the YWCA and their domestic abuse shelter. The shelter in Memphis annually serves over 350 women and children who have escaped domestic violence. They are able to stay in the shelter and receive meals, job training and mental health services in a safe environment until they are able to transition to permanent housing. 80% of the clients obtain employment and permanent housing and are self-sufficient one year after leaving the shelter. The shelter is one of two located in the state of Tennessee and is where the City of Memphis Police Department brings women in need of assistance following an incident of domestic violence. The YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. For more information, visit their website.
Christmas Stocking Stuffers with Santa
LifeLinc recently conducted a Christmas stocking stuffer drive for employees to donate small items for the children at the YWCA shelter. Items included candy, coloring books, small games, and other items to help brighten the children's day. The stockings were then presented by Santa at the shelter along with milk and cookies.
Employees volunteered to help handout candy and spend time with the children of the Greater Memphis YWCA for their Halloween party.
Back to School Donation Drive
LifeLinc conducted a school supply drive to help meet the needs of the effected children.
LifeLinc recently partnered with the Memphis Housing Authority and Urban Strategies to deliver gifts to over 100 seniors during the holiday season. The recipients were elderly individuals who may not receive any other gifts during the holiday season. Items donated included toiletries, flashlights, batteries, games, household products, non-perishable food items, and more.
LifeLinc encourages employees to become involved in their communities by lending their voluntary support to programs that positively impact the quality of life within their communities. All corporate employees receive up to 9 hours of volunteer paid time off per calendar year.
